Wrongful death in Texas accident

When a family loses a loved one in an accident, it leaves a void that can never be filled. When the loss is caused by a wrongful death, then the pain is compounded by many unanswered questions. One such Texas family may now be experiencing this type of trauma and confusion after an early morning accident that has left a young man dead.

According to police reports, a 22-year-old man has been found dead along a Houston road. They believe the victim was attempting to make his way across the roadway when he was struck and killed by a vehicle. There were no indications at the scene that anyone had tried to summon help for the stricken man. The accident happened a few hours before dawn.

The driver has not yet been found or identified. Police are still attempting to locate the person responsible. Officials have stated that even if a pedestrian was not obeying traffic laws, a driver is required to stop and render aid in the event of an accident that causes physical harm.

Law enforcement will locate the responsible party or parties in due time. Meanwhile, the victim’s family will have to learn to live life without their beloved young man. No amount of money will ever be able to compensate the family for what they have lost in this tragic event. However, when the driver who killed the man is found, Texas laws allow this family to seek justice and closure by filing a wrongful death suit against the person or persons that they believe to be behind this terrible accident that has claimed the life of a young person who had his entire life ahead of him.
