Alleged negligent driver faces lawsuit after Texas car accident

Drivers entering public roads from private driveways often fail to pay proper attention to approaching traffic. This is especially true when driving outside of city limits where the traffic load is not so heavy. A Texas woman recently filed a claim after a car accident that occurred outside the limits of Longview.

The lawsuit states that the plaintiff was northbound on Robert Wilson Road when a man entered the road from a private road. She alleges that the other driver, who had a trailer attached to his vehicle, failed to wait for her to pass before joining the traffic, and he smashed into her car. The woman claims to have suffered injuries that resulted in disfigurement and physical impairment.

The plaintiff named the driver of the vehicle, along with All Around Underground Inc. -- providers of general excavation works, as defendants in a personal injury claim. She seeks compensation for medical expenses and mental anguish, along with pain and suffering. In addition, she claims costs and additional damages as allowed by state laws.

Texas residents who have suffered personal injury in a car accident that resulted from the negligent conduct of another party may pursue recovery of damages incurred. They retain the right to file a personal injury claim in a civil court, naming the alleged negligent driver along with any third-party who may be the owner of the vehicle, as defendants. Documenting the details of the allegations and obtaining the assistance of counsel to present the claim in court, may result in an award of monetary judgment to cover medical and other expenses as deemed appropriate by the laws of Texas.
